Saturday Morning Car Show

Every Saturday morning there is a car show in the parking lot of a shopping center not too far from our house.  It is a chance for the locals to show-off the toys they have parked in the garage
(Or in our case, the driveway).  It is a lot of fun.  There are about a dozen guys with SSR's that all go.  They line up in a row and put their tops down and stand around and look proud.  They are a nice group of people.

Park City

In July, we went to Park City Utah for a few days. Tom needed to check on some properties over which he is responsible. We stayed right in the middle of town at one of the Pent House Suites owned by Tom's client. It was rather rainy weather, but we loved it because it got us out of the Vegas heat.
We drove into Salt Lake a couple of times for dinner. One of the places we went was a Diner up Imigration Canyon. It had been featured On the Food Network. We thought we would go and see what all the fuss was about. WELL, It's claim to fame was its Biscuts. I have never seen anything like them in my life. They were six to eight inches tall and light as a feather. DELICIOUS! We had to go back a second time.

Renee's Birthday

The family (those that were available), all got together and went to my favorite Mexican Restruant for my Birthday. The food was great and so was the company. At the end of dinner, the waiters came to our table and sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. They gave me this huge sombrero to put on. I felt silly, but it was a good time. I LOVE my family so much. They are the best. Never get enough of them. Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!

Trip To Denver May 2009

For some time now, Tom as been interested in purchasing a Chevrolete SSR Pick-Up. Since they are no longer made, it took some looking around to find one that he really wanted. He located one in a small town about 40 miles northwest of Denver. We flew to Denver, rented a car and the adventure began. The SSR turned out to be everything he had wanted so a deal was made and we drove it home. Se stayed in Beaver Creek for several days and enjoyed to beautiful scenery and cool air of the Rockies. It was such a treat. We stayed at the Hyatt and there happened to be a Barbeque Cook Off going on so we were able to enjoy that also. We drove all the way home in one day with the top down. It was great.

Hawaii Trip Mar 2009

In March Tom and I had the opportunity of going to the 'Big Island' Hawaii to spend the better part of a week. Tom Has a client and friend who has a house on the beach just North of Kona. The home was built in Bali, then disasembled and shipped to Hawaii where it took 4 years to reassemble it. It was amazing. You felt like you were in another world. It was furnished with authentic furniture throughout. We enjoyed sitting on the deck next to the Grand Staircase, watching whales. Took lots of pictures and listened to the surf. We had the whole estate to ourselves. It is truly a slice of paradise.

May16, 2009

Saturday night Tom and I went to hear Melanie and the Philharmonic. They played Beethoven's 9th. It was fabulous. We are so lucky to have that sort of talent available to us in this community. We are looking forward to next season. (This was the last performance of the regular season.) Hopefully Tom and Melanie will have tickets next to us next year. That would be so fun.

Day Trip to Red Rock

These pictures were taken in February, 2009. One Saturday, Tom and I drove to Red Rock with our cameras to take pictures. (Fun!) We even saw a herd of wild Burrows. They are soooo cute, but I understand they can be a bit aggressive so we didn't get very close. It was a chilly morning. There was still some snow on the mountains from a recent snow fall. LOVE THAT SNOW!
